Account Director

SCG Media is looking for a talented Account Director.  Responsible for delivering commercially successful projects that add meaningful value to clients and businesses. These projects must be delivered on time and within budget.

As an Account Director, you will

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at a senior level across the portfolio
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the requirements of the client's business and utilise this knowledge in account requirements
  • Deliver all projects in time and on budget
  • Complete administrative requirements such as studio briefing forms, WIPs and other administrative requirements to ensure smooth running of the account
  • Manage the administrative workflow processes and Netsuite requirements for project and job management to ensure the smooth running of activities, and the management of budgets
  • Actively pursue opportunities to grow business with print sales team and generate more revenue within existing accounts 

We are looking for a keen candidate with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years creative agency experience
  • Deep understanding of Office tool suite
  • Excellent written and oral skills- the ability to be clear and concise when communicating, excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required

Sales Executive

We are seeking a dynamic sales executive with a relentless determination to identify opportunities and generate revenue for the company. A keen interest in both print and the digital realm will facilitate a quick start, as you'll be selling across all our channels. With responsibilities spanning over magazine, website, social platform and events, you'll have diverse avenues to craft compelling ad campaigns for your clients.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, your role entails reaching monthly revenue targets aimed at increasing revenue from new, existing, and lapsed advertisers by effectively managing your assigned verticals within your brand's market. 

This position requires interaction with clients and agencies through various channels, including phone calls, face-to-face meetings, video calls, and formal presentations, emphasizing the importance of building rapport and relationships. You will independently manage your pipeline and efficiently convert sales. Your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be aligned with these responsibilities and will be reviewed quarterly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strive to surpass set revenue targets in alignment with your Commercial Director's expectations.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve overall brand targets.
  • Manage and cultivate your own client portfolio.
  • Innovate and execute new creative strategies to increase revenues and yields.
  • Communicate regularly with assigned agencies and clients via telephone, video calls, or in-person meetings to maintain the necessary level of contact.
  • Foster relationships with key agency personnel and clients within your specific industry vertical.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline and track all activities through the CRM system, ensuring accurate records and timely administration.
  •  Meet minimum standards and personal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which are assessed on a quarterly basis.
  • Adhere to established pricing policies and effectively communicate the value propositions of our brands.

Account Manager

As SCG’s Sales Account Manager, your role is to sell print, design and creative solutions to existing and new clients, and meet or exceed your monthly sales targets.  We want you to look at the marketing spend of each client with a view to gaining the lions share, through building trusted working relationships with our clients.

Your skills are critical to the success of the business, but this is a no prima-donna operation. Everyone is here to produce great work and have fun on the way.  This requires accurate quoting, detailed job bags, reasonable timeframes and correct delivery specifications – our production team are experts and here to make your jobs shine and will work for a tight deadline to ensure the job is done.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters relating to your customers
  • Scope and understand your customers marketing and collateral needs and sell SCG print, creative and design solutions to meet those needs.
  • Take a brief and calculate the quotation using PRINT IQ quoting software.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with your key accounts.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas
  • Monitor the changing requirements of the customer
  • Keep the end in mind when quoting and designing work for clients. 
  • Find cost-effective solutions to stay ahead of our competitors.
  • Conduct ongoing research on competitors’ products, prices and customer bases. 
  • Negotiate on price (within agreed parameters) delivery window and production lead times with customers and production team to obtain the sale
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Identify and grow opportunities within client base and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment.

About You

  • Proven track record as a successful Account Manager
  • Experience in Signage / Large Format print sales an advantage
  • Print quoting experience – Print IQ software or similar 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large accounts
  • Tech savvy
